Rainer Geschke, Dipl. conservator/restorer

General
My realm is the conservation and restoration of siliceous objects of any kind. Depending on requirements, I can
offer a variety of treatments; ranging from the preservation of surviving substance only up to fully re-establishing
the original visual appearance of damaged objects.
I have extensive knowledge of material science and am familiar with cutting edge treatments and -techniques as
well as documentation.
My work is based on internationally agreed ethical standards. All materials and techniques applied are as far as
currently possible resistant to ageing and are reversible.
In addition, I offer advice at related areas. I am experienced in preparing collection condition surveys, in
damage analysis and assistance at storage, display and transport issues.
I am a member of ICON (The Institute of Conservation) and of the VDR (Verband der Restauratoren).
